Marilyn Bast Dunlap With a passion for art and history, Marilyn started painting at a very early age. Growing up in a small town, she often dreamed of far away places. This longing to escape is reflected in her art. As a graduate of University of Florida with a major in Exercise Science and a minor in Art, she would teach in the Winter and travel to Europe in the Summer. Over the years she has painted in oils, water colors and acrylics. She now paints exclusively in acrylics on masonite, as this medium allows her to pay meticulous attention to detail. This painting is absolutely charming with its winding road and red roofed buildings which you pick up again in the flowers. I spent time in Tuscany in these hillsides, but not when the poppies were in bloom. Thank you for showing me how beautiful they are!
